Kaleidoscope

Truth is a kaleidoscope, it has many faces.
It is not binary, it won’t be contained.
It comes from every direction at once.
Black is one face and white is another
Stealing is wrong unless your child starves.
All the signs said Go but we reached a dead end.
We’re in love but I don’t let him see me.
The teachers taught me to create order, and I became a tyrant to myself.
Here a woman can only show her legs, and there only her breasts.
Our neighbor was maimed by a drunk driver, and to live fulfilled we must be willing to trust people.
We were both addicts. His last run got him killed, and mine brought me to rock bottom and raised me from the dead.

Truth is not flashy or social.  She will come only when invited, she will be known only through careful contemplation and tense conversations.

It is said that God holds the world together, which is difficult because it is full of contradictions;
Opposites in such conflict that they can’t stop killing one another.
Yet it holds, bonded together against all odds, by purveyors of truth. Truth is the space between contradictions.
The worst of all sins is to reject the contradictions, for by so doing you erase God.
